her ghostly touch
floats across my skin
I look back

liquor store doorway
he shakes a cup
of loose change

war at school cell
phones ringing
no answer

cool morning breeze—
grass covered in frost
how lightly the flag sways

liquor store doorway
he shakes a cup
of loose change

cool morning breeze—
grass covered in frost
how lightly the flag sways

40 years pass
his slippers
next to mine

40 years pass
his slippers
next to mine

rain drops
hitting the window pane
a child’s face

old and rusted
broken mirror
no reflections of me

40 years pass
his slippers
next to mine

rain drops
hitting the window pane
a child’s face

a familiar silhouette
late at night at this window
nothing but illusions

champion

words unspoken
scaring him
more than anything he ever said

bottom half champion

words unspoken
scaring him
more than anything he ever said

a dozen roses
fill the vase…
scribbles on the paper

water drops
from the bright red rose
a garden of love

words unspoken
scaring him
more than anything he ever said

death of a friend…
raising our glasses in your name
I’ll see you on the other side

words unspoken
scaring him
more than anything he ever said

soldiers
into the darkness
the soft lullaby

soldiers
into the darkness
the soft lullaby

Angel from heaven
falling to Earth
I see you

soldiers
into the darkness
the soft lullaby

she dances
the moon light
beaming

silent night
lying in a dark room
Jesus responds back

Angel from heaven
falling to Earth
I see you
