Can't Maintain

I have found that my haiku come not only from a place of quiet reflection but most often from a morbidly humorous, angsty part of myself. Some say art is pain, but I think it's more of a mental illness manifesting as words, sounds, and colors, and should be avoided by those interested in a healthy lifestyle. That being said, I have no such interests and, for what it's worth, hope you enjoy these haiku.

foggy night
mountain drive
breakdown

leaves falling
cool breeze
in a mausoleum

snowflakes
stick to distant lights
disco ball

Sunday morning
too-quiet car ride
on the way to church

rainy day
we watch movies and cuddle
just friends

sports star
and his new wife--
another young model

I find my name
in her suicide note
true love

on your roof
calm silence
a cool breeze

finding time
for the people I love
cherry blossoms
