the crazy road ice storm roads are slick a calming sensation the kettle of tea a sense of longing a long nights sleep • on the road again a destination is ahead onset of a new semester move out day a summer breeze eager to arrive to uncover • wishing well laying on the beach hot sand under my feet white sand washed away winter chills my bones fresh cut grass • home run dress on the floor, shaking under the stars long dirt road I can still dead end in a hay field • daddy waits awake road ahead is blurry making my way blazing sun a long pull Sunday morning headache • fried chicken laughter surrounds me with a sence of refreshment Monday meeting feeling of uneasiness surrounded by stacks of papers • • •
