Being a guy who's dating a girl with blue eyes, I can personally relate to this haiku. I wish I had written this, but I've written about blue eyes before, so it's not that big of a deal, haha. The way that the eyes are described combined with the reaction to the eyes is a major factor as to why I love this haiku so much. "Crystal blue" just says piercing to me, as though her gaze slices through anything that comes into their line of fire. And then the speaker says that they "forget what (they were) saying", which supports the utter power of the effect that these eyes have. Nick

This was a very relatable haiku. The imagery of the crystal blue eyes that were breathtaking was excellent. I can imagine myself looking up from something and not even having any words to say because their eyes are so beautiful. Sierra

The feeling of heat is so vivid in this one. I feel the heat of summer but then I feel the heat between two people. Sierra
