I really enjoyed both of these haiku because I feel like they did a great job of describing the college social experience. Even though college isn't all about drinking, everyone has their wild memories from drunken college nights and that's how a lot of people meet their friends. Both haikus involve alcohol and both involve homecoming. In the first one, the author describes the homecoming experience for alum. That feeling of never wanting to get old and not wanting to let go of all the fun times they had in college. In the second one, the author describes the homecoming experience for someone still in college. College can be extremely stressful and sometimes having a reason to get drunk on the weekend, with everyone on campus, is what we need to relieve that stress. It's the reason why we look forward to the weekend so much because we work really hard all week then reward ourselves for it by partying on the weekends. Courtney
