Memories
by
Garrett Mayberry
These haiku were my favorites from the semester. Not only because I like the way I wrote them, but also because of the spectrum of emotions in these. This has been a journey. |
a son in uniform
his father places his hand
on his shoulder

the grand oak
the father
I never knew
as I inhale. exhale.
the towering pines
sway back and forth
snuggling under a blanket
with someone special
falling snow
she forgot her gloves
I gladly invite her
into my coat
her side of the bed
always cold
now vacant |
very attractive
