Onto a Blank Canvas

a night walk
talking to the moon
bouncing back ideas

ds

my reflection in the lake
covered by a leaf

res

a fish surfaces
to keep watch
ripples

sr

one match
enough for a bonfire

rmb

our fresh chili
scooped by giants
the big dipper

sr

throwing the wilderness
onto a blank canvas

ar

my brush slips
when I see her smile
I leave the flaw

ab

jewelry box falls to the floor
pearls spin, racing

jc

startled—
the tabby cat
retreats to its box

ae

cool glare over
the scent of perfume
finger tightens bowtie

jc

lights out
our ears lead the way

rs

pale moon
just visible
through the clouds

ah

all that glitters
is gold

op

silver wine
dilluted
with virgin oil

jc

grass tickles our toes
picnic basket

sr

preoccupied with another
her gift bouquet
begins to wilt

ae

the tortoise decides
at the fork in the road
