the waves crashing
and retreating

I feel the release
of all my stress

the world not yet awake
the moon
not yet gone

I gaze at it
looking for the answers

what answers
I'm looking for

Soon enough
they will come

driving home
the answer hits me
like a train

A burst of energy
as I realize what it means

finally I understand
why my wife
left me

BM

near our house
the mailman suspiciously lingers

Even under the light
of the moon
everything is dark

awfully late
to deliver mail

I approach him
to see
his package

AT

As I get closer
it becomes clearer

a box
full of
cherry blossom petals

BM

Wife ordered them
for our 10 year anniversary
