Mind Swirls April 24, 2015 by Alex Erickson |
Mind Swirls gathering round the scribe
from the toy’s screaming
storms brew
the bells toll
silence throughout
a stray dog
• a young boy
he reflects on his childhood
yet his inner keys pound
rows rowing forward
a single ripple stretched thin
the darkness grows
• cold blue rays
where the sky,sun,and earth
a loving face emerges
the wick melts
a resounding voice
there he waits
• everything ends
love is our salvation
true tangible love
the calamity slows
the trees shrug their shade
a single light
• the morning comes
he drops the key
secrets hidden away
forever ever
sitting silently
words never finding
• but still
the phoenix soars
above us all
the sun returns
love feigns
remaining hopeful
