Mind Swirls

gathering round the scribe
the brothers listen
to the wind’s whistle

AE

from the toy’s screaming
of a lost wonderland

MA

storms brew
the mind swirls
static humming

AJ

the bells toll
a town deserted

KK

silence throughout
chill in the air
the moon hangs overhead

LC

a stray dog
wanders alone

LC

a young boy
in a departing station wagon
still in his mind

AE

he reflects on his childhood
wondering if he’s still himself

VM

yet his inner keys pound
for the only dog the know his name
he beckons to them

MA

rows rowing forward
she yearns for more

AJ

a single ripple stretched thin
time moves on
not concerned with what’s within

KK

the darkness grows
deeper and deeper

LC

cold blue rays
reveal the pathway
home

AE

where the sky,sun,and earth
become one

VM

a loving face emerges
she guides him back
safe on sound

MA

the wick melts
the glass shatters

AJ

a resounding voice
a cloistral hall
lined with petals

KK

there he waits
kneeling in prayer

LC

everything ends
love is fake
we all shall perish

AE

love is our salvation
a place where life and death cease

VM

true tangible love
stems from around us
air, earth, fire, water

MA

the calamity slows
he jolts forward

AJ

the trees shrug their shade
hair stand on edge
the longing of the night draws near

KK

a single light
pierces the shroud

LC

the morning comes
she awakens alone
again

AE

he drops the key
suddenly, nothing

AJ

secrets hidden away
a door closed forever

LC

forever ever
forever ever

AE

sitting silently
she waits
writing

AJ

words never finding
who they’re meant for

LC

but still
the seeds scattered
takes root

AE

the phoenix soars
wildly breathing

AJ

above us all
life flows down
to us all

LC

the sun returns
as winter passes

AE

love feigns
the cherry blossoms burst
still sad are we

AJ

remaining hopeful
we wait
