Skipping Stones skipping stones keeping one hand free he pulls me into no more attempts Hard to count His voice is like music • The music holding me twirling like a princess laughing together the clouds shift encompassed in son’s warmth • we lay together the three of us we gaze at each other the aroma of mowed grass cherry blossom smell grandma and grandpa • • •
