Memories of the Past, Present, and Future

by
Heather Doyle

Author’s Introduction

This collection of my original haikus is inspired by my memories of the past, present-day experiences, and moments that have not happened yet. Because I
write my haiku in my bedroom of my childhood home, I am surrounded by pictures and objects that grab my attention and inspire me to write about the things that I do. I go wherever my mind takes me and randomly select topics that spark memories or relatable moments. The best way to read my collection is to open your mind, picture what I have laid before you, and then fill in the holes with your own experiences or dreams. I hope that you can relate to some of these poems and that you get a good laugh from a few of them. Also, I hope that some of them take you back to some of your greatest memories growing up.
