stream of moonlight
my dad's hand
as we head home

Sydney Brangenberg (3)

nursing home
family
here for Christmas

Bayleigh Tabor (2)

youthful steps
crack every twig
while finding their path

day at the fair
we spin around
filled with laughter

trees creak and groan
under pressure of the wind
below I soundly sit

Nathan Heppermann (3)

flower baskets
her hands
crippled with arthritis

Bayleigh Tabor (2)

a rainbow across the sky
gives a little girl hope
as she walks to school

Sarah Hoadley (3)

at midnight
a baby born
between two borders

Rachel Asifiwe (4)

trying on a dress
twirling around
this is the one

Sydney Brangenberg (3)

following dad
with wide eyes
into the darkness in front of us

at the beach
warm sand
between my toes

a morning in a desert
the sun rises
and my shadow beside me

in faint darkness
my heart beats
climbing the ladder into silence

Nathan Heppermann (4)

wake up
put a good dip in
and crack a cold one

16th birthday
flower bouquet
everlasting never dying

Bayleigh Tabor (2)

grandma's house
during Christmas
filled with warmth and laighter

three lefts
make a
right . . .

Quentin Key (5)

light
within darkenss
shining star

in a silent room
I hear the voice
of my deceased mother

Rachel Asifiwe (3)

constant laughter
running around
grandma's kitchen

cool morning
a young man huddles around
his grandfather's clay coffee mug

mother's pearls
around my neck
as the casket closes

Sydney Brangenberg (3)

walking over the bridge
hand-in-hand
being careful not to slip

Sarah Hoadley (4)

father and daughter walk together
sharing memories
as they go down the aisle

Sarah Hoadley (6)

a quiet night
the chirp of a cricket
a firefly

awful heat
garden work never ends
for a country girl

covered in darkness
but
lit by the moon

Monday after noon
a chance of saying goodbye
in a hospice.

the fog
sets in on campus
thoughts on my mind

Nathan Heppermann (3)

lost loved ones
new Bourne
memories never end . . .
