|
gentle flapping
of the butterfly
can’t reach the sun |
a streak of black
pierces the deep blue
sheet |
|
|
song bird
the road to hell
for the two of us |
blizzard . . .
a family sits
sipping warm tea |
|
|
sparks flying high
marshmallows blackened
the laughter |
the dumpster
a fire
that lights the alleyway |
|
|
out of breath . . .
the round lady
on the stairwell |
familiar smooth cracks
my fingers
glide along the wall |
|
|
gunshots . . .
streaks of smoke fill the air
a military wedding |
midnight swim
warmed
with laughter |
