Seeds of Wisdom

by
Morgan Rockwell

The haiku collection, named “Seeds of Wisdom,” contains several of my favorite and thought provoking haikus that I had composed throughout my journey.
Each one of these haiku contain a “seed of wisdom” that enlighten the reader about emotions, humor, or life’s challenges.

hiding from prying eyes
the fiddler crab
digs deeper in the mud

sparkles swirling
a little girl
runs in circles

a boy cries
his finger poking
out of his pocket

by the water's side
a little girl
waves back at the ocean

a shimmering droplet
plops into the lake
silence follows

hair swirling in the air
a husky fights
scissors clatter

pulled into the sea
Kraken wraps around me
a dice rolls my fate

sun setting into darkness
what do I say
when you walk away?

corner of my eye
flash of darkness
           a ghost?

somedays I wish
I was a dinsaur
extinct.

rain pouring
I gaze outside
will dad ever come home?

last candle blown out
COVID-19 takes
another year of my lfie
