the old barn |
warm sun |
mid-day lunch |
the smell of honeysuckle |
chocolate chip cookies |
coffee at dawn |
the weight of the world |
new home |
the star tonight |
early in the morning |
blowing the cartridge |
the smell of exhaust |
before the game |
a little tap— |
torn canvas |
little red caboose |
Friday night |
at the lake |
grandma's quilt |
mom's wedding diamond |
Knock Knock |
chipped and warm |
Sunday morning |
grandma's dishes |
across the river |
sitting on the balcony |
his footsteps I hear |
the wind— |
my heart beating fast |
no one home |
on the stoop |
pop pop pop pop |
eighth inning, remote in hand |
niece and I |
heart to heart |
the echo of laughter |
in the attic
|
barge travels |
green mossy pond |
family night |
ducking dodging |
toddler whines |
lying in the truck bed |
alone in the car |
sitting in the car |
hair covered |
walking the trail |
footsteps outside |
old wooden |
coffee breath with |
cozy pajamas |
peace and quiet |
canvas cleared |
brushing and flossing |
a library on wheels |
wake up, go to work, |
an old red barn |
dead oak tree |
branch by branch |
boss calls |
hoodies and hot chocolate |
standing at the waterfall |
a silent classroom |
