dirty hands Hannah Woolard I really enjoy this Haiku because like the others it give an immediate visual for me. I really enjoyed the visual that was described when this Haiku was written of young daughters a mother and a grandmother all cooking together and the kitchen creating memories together. The visual of the dirty hands the smell of a fresh cooked meal fills the house. It creates an awesome visual for the reader. It gives me memories of my own childhood cooking with my grandma. Lisa |

the smell of coffee Hannah Woolard I really enjoyed this Haiku because it created an awesome visual it made me think of home it made me think of my brother and his two kids my niece is 8 and my nephew is 2 he is a pilot and works a lot and when he is home his kids are his life even when he is exhausted his kids come first so I imagine him waking up in the morning making coffee the aroma filling the house so he can wake himself up a bit and help get the oldest ready for school while dealing with a two year old running around and doing it with love after getting everyone dressed and fed taking everyone to the bus. I love the visuals in my head I envision the smells of the coffee the sounds of tiny feet, kids rushing to the bus. Lisa |
looking up Aesha Bunch As I read this I feel like I am in the middle of nowhere looking up at the stars. I can feel the summer breeze. Even though the haiku is simple it is full of meaning and can bring back memories to the reader, as well as feelings of summer and fellowship with friends and family. Hannah |
