quick run Hannah Woolard I can see a girl who is running as fast as she can to the finish line. She is breathing heavy and is out of breath. As soon as she makes it to the finish line she falls because she's so exhausted. Aesha |

wobbly knees Lisa Capasso This is very visual. I can picture a person who is responsible for putting the trophies out for display or giving them to the people. They have to carry the boxes from the car to the inside of the building. The boxes of trophies are really heavy and make the persons knees wobble all the way into the building. Aesha |

sunshine and fairytales Hannah Woolard I really enjoyed this haiku because it really embodies the whole idea surrounding childhood. I have a big love for Disney and as a little girl you are always taught about prince charming. How one day he will come and sweep you of your feet and you will live happly ever after. I was sad to find out when I got older that wasn’t how that worked. I love how that it gives and overwhelming feeling of innocence and still has the magic of Disney. Lisa |
the smell of coffee Hannah Woolard |
lightning bolt Hannah Woolard I really like this haiku. You can definitely tell that it's from Harry Potter. The first thing you notice about Harry Potter is the lightning bolt scar on his forehead. Aesha |

faith trust pixie dust Hannah Woolard I really enjoy this poem as I said before I love Disney and this is a phrase that is used in all of the parks and tinker bell flies over the castle at the beginning of every Disney movie. It makes me think of Disney how everything started with a mouse and how iconic the whole Disney brand is now. Anyone in the U.S who hears this phrase thinks of Disney. Love the instant story that goes through my head every time I hear that phrase. Lisa |

a prolonged voyage Aesha Bunch I love this Haiku because it makes me think of Pirates of the Caribbean I am not sure if that was the purpose of the author but that is where it takes my mind. I get the visual of a pirate ship packed with supplies for a long voyage while the lovers wave goodbye one of the ship the other left back on land not knowing the next time they will see each other. I think of an older time when there was no way of getting in touch with someone unless they were close enough to travel by foot or by horse or if trade or goods where on the market by boat. Lisa |

curtains rise Lisa Capasso I love this haiku because it can relate to the movie Despicable Me. At the end of the movie the three girls put on a dance recital for Gru and the minions. This haiku can also relate to just about anything dance related as well. Hannah |
