First Snow

by
Aesha Bunch

The title of my collection is called "First Snow". I chose this as my title because it was my best haiku. Most of my haiku I have written are about past experiences and seasons. I wrote a lot about summer because it is my favorite season and there is so much things to-do.

first snow—
the little girl runs
to the front window

a box in the attic
covered in dust
a beautiful gown

looking at his arms
muscles as big
as my head

spring breeze
the little girl pedals faster
down the sidewalk

bright blue water
I look through my goggles
a fish stares at me

spring evening
I ask a gypsy in a carriage
about my future

looking up
the star filled sky
seems so far away

moon light—
sitting by the fire
he falls out of his chair

big waves come our way
I fall out
of the inner tube
