fire crackling

by

I found writing haiku can be fun, the easiest thing I have to write on is past experiences or favorite things to do. I hope my haiku trigger friendly emotions and fond memories.

school play ground
the little boy
kissed the chattering girl

fire crackling
wine bottle half empty
she finishes it off

hot
and sweaty
na ma stay

ring of salt
slice of lime
margaritas our poison

faith trust pixie dust
she tries to fly
succeeding

pink sparkles
in her hair
bath water running

rustling of leaves
Lincoln statue illuminates the campus
in the moonlight

clear water
white sands
the bartender opens the tiki hut

amber liquid
two ice cubes
he forgets his name
