I love the idea that two different people wrote these Haiku's and yet they are so similar. Of course all of us can relate to being busy because we are college students/professor and life gets overwhelming. I'm drawn to the first Haiku because we often say, "my mind is running a mile a minute" insinuating that it is running faster and faster. Kiava

These two poems both talk about the fast moving nature of the mind. I had a very hard time choosing between the two because the word play in both haikus were great, but I chose the first haiku because it made me think about how fast the mind will run faster and faster without having to build up its endurance. I like both of these haiku because they both give me a very active social image of people playing basketball together. However, the second one to me provokes a stronger image due to the setting "in the street lights" and it seems more relatable because rather than being about professional athletes it is about neighborhood children. I thought it was interesting that these two were two winners from the matching contest because they were written by two different people but both with so much similar emotion. The meanings of both deal with a situation of this weightless and breathtaking feeling that comes with water. I can relate to this because when I’m in the water I feel relaxed and weightless. Between these two I enjoy the first. I like the play on words with “tons of pressure” and “weightless”. I also like how there is emotion behind the haiku, but it still leaves you feeling relaxed.
