My Little Red Book
by
Matthew Marrero
This booklet contains a few of my work over the Global haiku course. It has been awhile since I have taken creative writing, and taking this class helped me remember what it felt like to write again. Most of my haiku enter my thoughts and emotions, others are what I’ve observed or experienced. I hope you enjoy “My Little Red Book” |
hidden behind the clouds
the moon's rays
penetrate
|
|
|
city lights
loud music
YOLO |
one eye,
anchor tattoo,
eating spinach
|
|
|
fallen angel
Where did
you come from? |
thinking of her
on a rainy day
silent home |
|
|
you are my almost,
the could have been,
but I am your never |
red rose
with many thorns
can I hold thee |
|
|
sitting beside her
an endless silence
never again |
