winning the race
caterpillar

dog bowls
in the corner of the room
empty

they suffer
we watch in silence
America runs on tragedy

old photographs
at the thrift store
“names unknown”

in the graveyard
flower vases
empty

trying on my favorite dresses
a fancy date
me and my cat

witness to a death
I don't call for help
I simply press record

dog prints
follow my footsteps
goodnight

surround like me like
a bubble

bikini season
boys like me
for the wrong reasons
