Everyday Life

by
Riley Sawin

I chose the title everyday life as my title because all my haiku are written to be relatable and bring back memories to the readers. These types of haiku are daily things that could happen to anyone, which makes it so interesting. These haikus I find to be the best that might connect with the reader the most. Also, when reading them you are able to feel the imagine that brings you back to those memories which I find is very important when writing a haiku.

brother sister bond
playing sports in the backyard
throwing to the stars

swimming all around
inventing new games to play
water dripping down

side by side laughing
canceling everything out
connections building

look around
viewpoints of others
deep breath

cozy
blankets wrapped tight
around me

morning birds’
chirping in my head
no thoughts

doves flying
side by side
they go

spread positivity
making someone’s day
better

gloomy
the smell of rain
outside
