Happy, Relaxed, Peace

by
Caitlyn Kesler

I dedicate these haiku to my wonderful parents for they have always pushed me to be my best. I chose the title “Happy, Relaxed, Peace” because all of these haiku are either happy, relaxed or very peaceful. I have chosen these haiku for my collection because I feel like most of them everyone can relate to. I am a sophomore at Millikin University, and I am majoring in nursing. My goal is to become a pediatric oncology nurse after getting my masters. I then would like to become a doctor. Please enjoy reading my best haiku.

one werewolf
one vampire
star-crossed lovers

last night of summer
campfire crackling
marshmallows toasting

smell of fresh air
walking through the woods
peace

dressed in camo
I pull back my bow
I release . . .

bright moon shining
on me
as I climb up the tree stand

first day
at a new school
will I make friends?

new décor
different cars
not grandma's house anymore
