Selected
Haiku
by

I
am an amateur haiku poet. My first haiku poetry class was
taken in late summer of 2003. I was immediately drawn into
the beauty of haiku by the simplicity of this ancient Japanese
art form.
I
hope to continue writing haiku about love and family.
I
hope that people take a few moments out of their busy and
hectic lives to read my haiku and will remember happy and
joyous times in their lives as well.
I
would like to thank my professor, Dr. Randy Brooks, and my
classmates from my original haiku class. Special thanks to
Kim Tish for collaborating on rengay and being my most helpful
critic. I must also thank my husband, Jerry, and my daughter,
Allie, for their continued love and support.
