I took this course as my global studies requirement, to make me a well-rounded student. Haiku has broadened my horizons and made me look at things in a different light. I have been introduced to unique writers and their beautiful poetry. Sometimes simple and straight forward, but often thought provoking. I enjoy "birthing" the haiku, and what it means to me. When events happen in my life now, I often think, could this be a haiku in the making? Haiku has added a new dimension to my world.
