I try to write haiku about special memories that hold an important part in my mind. Normally, these are things which I have not thought about for some time, but the memories will always be there.

mosquito
takes a taste
no more
|

|
winter
she came back
only to leave again
|
lights off
in the basement
firefly lamp
|
|
|
shortly after class
a star
appears
|
ice silenced town
the trees
broken
|
|
|
cracked and chipped
snowman
smiling
|
brown leaves
a dog plays fetch
alone
|
|
|
page by page
the diary of her life
burned
|
candle lit
bedroom
cold on the prairie
|
|
|
below zero temperatures
on the lake
without a crack
|
ice sickles formed
old red barn
not yet fallen |
