wet gloves
and cold hands. . .
shaping my ammo

slush,
    smush,
        gush,
melting memories

tiny footprints
in the snow
suddenly stop

tiny tracks
in the snow—
an early morning song

almost time to go home. . .
a sudden chill
a shift in the wind

tires crunch the ice
with each time I wonder
Is it her?

soft black coat
glistens with the snow
cold feet

gently licking
ice…
from his paw

top half champion

champion

bottom half champion

snowy night
tooth beneath her pillow
one buck or two?

snow packed road
the plow
did it again

sea of white
can’t open
the storm door

two broken windows
in the garage door
twin piles of snow inside

top quarter champion

bottom half champion

bottom quarter champion

Alan shovels for Gerri again
he just thinks
she’s older than me

snow blowing. . .
i hide inside
a house made of snow

hearses parked. . .
heads bowed
trees dressed in white

deceitful winter snow
you look so pretty from
my kitchen window
