Dedication
I would like to dedicate this to my Ladybug. Thank you for taking this journey with me.
Preface
It is said that a haiku isn't birthed until someone else loves it. That statement is my motivation for every poem that I write. I feel that if I love the poem that someone else in turn will love it as well. Several of these poems that I included in this collection are ones that were "born" in class. The other selections that I included are ones that were "born" outside of class by others. As you read this collection may the following poems be "born" again.
Reader Introduction
perfect wind
floating airplane
principal’s office
open window
summer rain
snuggle day
raking leaves
family bonding time
2 more acres to go
These three were my favorite poems because I felt a connection with them. I really enjoyed all of them, but these were my favorite because I could relate to them the most. I like poems about family and life. I’m happy that I can help with my Mom’s homework because she always helps me with mine. —Lauryn Imani Rowe-Adams |
