Life Through the Eyes of Love: by I have discovered that my past experiences both positive and negative allow me to write the best haiku. Experiences throughout my life that molded and shaped the person that I am today, provided me with the creativity to write haiku that truly express who I am and how I feel about love and life. Life through the eyes of love was composed because each haiku illustrates different moods and emotions that I have felt from childhood until present day. I have discovered that writing haiku is therapeutic and allows me to reflect back on difficult times in my life. |
Tennessee mountains . . . |

an empty back pack |
a skinned knee— |
beneath the orange horizon |
a trumpet playing taps— |
from the river |
sun burnt shoulder . . . |
a van stops |
