Haiku

by
Kasara Welch

I included my haiku that personally connected with my life. These haiku reflected special memories I have throughout my life, a lot of memories from my childhood. These memories are both wonderful and terrible, but I believe a lot of these memories have shaped me into the person I am today.

hot summer day
little blue dress
caught in the moment

dark night
porch lights on
children's laughter

moonless night
my childhood
suddenly ended

perfect night
I wait
for his first move

goodbye hugs
tight as can be
forever gone

hunting for months
the excitement
finding our new home

family of three
mother & children
a doe & her fawn

brisk morning
the sky lights
up the woods
