fireworks in July
the vibrant colors
explode in the distance

 


hands over my eyes
the perfume
gives her away

 


weekend with vapor rub
muffled party
keeps me awake


sticky kisses
the scent of bubblegum
lingering on lips


smack in the
catcher's mitt
scent of stadium beer


medieval dinner
dry chicken in my mouth
with a view of poor actors


 


warm sun
plays with my skin
and my ice water
