haiku collection
by
Ben
Kress
This collection of haiku was compiled from class favorites of my work assembled throughout all of our kukai competitions. The central theme is alcohol, which seems to be a continuing theme throughout all of my artwork produced my senior year. I have also included a few camping haiku and a couple of Valentine's Day haiku that I really thought turned out well. In all of these haiku, the most important element that I focus on is the surprise delivered in the third line of most haiku. I really try to make my haiku as short as possible allowing room for the reader's interpretation. This group of haiku really reflect my personality well because they are all situations I have been in or witnessed first hand.
