Global Haiku Tradition--Tan-Renga 2008

(write capping verses for at least 5 of these)

sand in my shoe
the beach
follows me home

humid room
he never stops talking . . .
will I die in here?

runt in the litter
fights off
their biggest predator

voices in my head
I've been driving
for too long

the car horn echoes
on an empty
highway

walking together
between shady trees
comfortable silence

silent willows
branches cascade
into the lake

driving out of the city
buildings turning into
fields

lover's initials
etched under stairs
lake house ghosts

an event
once stressful
makes me laugh
