Thoughts
by
Lyndz Lemanczyk
To graduate I needed one more English course. Global Haiku was the only class available to fit my schedule. I had no idea what haiku was. Then when I heard it was a form of poetry, I was terrified. After taking this course, I only enjoy this type of poetry. Haiku was a means of release for me. I had no idea that I had these thoughts or even was capable of writing them. I only wish I would have applied myself more. |
I am your best friend
now and always, and especially
when I get caught
from Gomer's Haiku |
|
|
rain falls
we hide in the shed
to catch our breath |
soaking wet
the couple finds peace
in the rain |
|
|
brick by brick
she rebuilds the wall
around her heart |
child's joy
a simple
drop of rain |
|
|
he waits . . .
to say good bye
one last time |
