dark clouds
race over campus
mud football

lightening strikes
tree on fire

panic sets in
her heart rate matches
the sound of sneakers on pavement

a heart to match

the man in the moon
she prays to
every night

both of us looking
at the same night sky

Orion rising
still no sign
of the north star

ab

he stops gazing
to stare at me

butterflies rise
as his eyes burn . . .
what does he see?

the news, movies
bombs, fire, terror

Thursday night
falling asleep
to the Vietnam War

resting on my rifle
in a muddy trench

I write her
longing to see her
the sun sets

Ghandi smiles

postcard
it only takes a couple words
I can't help but smile

transparent blue
water off Cancun

take me there

underwater grotto—
a perfect proposal

I walk
towards my
desitiny

the groom loses
his stutter

doors swing open
everyone turns
his eyes light up

she wishes the groom
was looking at her

he holds back
the tears . . .
he is missing the finals

"what is the score?"

returning his attention
to the visitation

a funeral for a hobo
the gravedigger cries

I think

probably loved him."

to the unknown

a house and balloons

a magnificent bird
her name is Kevin

sunggled in bed
she tucks in
Mr. Bear

Mom's jacuzzi
with cherry blossoms
