Love Moments
little purple
the young girl plucks
the trouble maker
the hawk above
gazing at the moon
only 4 more hours
•
long car ride
broken by
a small intermission
pothole . . .
the brush
a bystander
•
morning moon
his ring still shines
on the subway bench
the aging father
he places roses
Until the last raindrop
•
she sees
cold as ice
not speaking
her heart empty
building in the windowsill
spring rain drops
•
off the dirt road
daisies
field of flowers
moonlit picnic
young couple
yellow eyes watch
•
large eyes
the shock gobble answers
wind carries the call
his fist snaps a twig
a birdwatcher
a sense of peace
• • •

Composed by the Spring 2014 Honors Global Haiku Class. Each student contributed one link based upon the prior students work. Few guidelines were given and the result was not changed in any way. This was a round-robin mad verse kasen renga, with writers taking turns linking and shifting off the previous verse. Author links: Randy Brooks - RMB All the members of the Haiku Class of Spring 2014 took part in writing this renga. Jackie wrote the initial hoku. |
