Too Much Work Global Haiku Traditions |
To Much Work
Too much work
Man hours
Every class
Anxiety sets in
Moonlight
Bolded words
•
Misunderstood
The porchswing
Hopping into the old car
Under the apple tree
Memories of summer
The silver fish
•
father and son
The hawk's cry
Litter the
Heavy clouds
I lay in a field
poppies turn to opiates
•
Haunted by the memories
Summer night sky
Thought to be nimble
Flashing lights, blaring sirens—
The crowded room
The soldiers fold the flag
•
Framed by the window
The words lost
Thinking of
tomorrow waits
All I see
Blind slits
•
Shadows curve
Ringlits bouncing
Tired mother
The hungry kittens
Cherry blossoms
Standing tall
• • •

Composed by the Spring 2014 Honors Global Haiku Class. Each student contributed one link based upon the prior students work. Few guidelines were given and the result was not changed in any way. This was a round-robin mad verse kasen renga, with writers taking turns linking and shifting off the previous verse. Author links: Randy Brooks - RMB Hokku by TJ Holmes |
