Who I Am
by
Alex Cardascio
This haiku collection tries to express the feelings of who I am as a person and what has happened to me during my life. The following haiku that are presented in this book represent past memories that I have had as well as other memories people have told me along the way. I tried to recreate the thoughts and feelings from their memories from my own perspective and put all of the haiku into one collection. I chose the title Who I Am because I wanted this haiku collection to be a reflection of the person I have become today through all of the good times I have had as well as through all of the tough times I have experienced from being a little kid to the young adult I am today. Most of the haiku are written in the same format but try to elicit different emotions from the reader as they go from one haiku to another. Overall, I want my haiku booklet to rekindle people’s memories of their childhood; no matter if they are good memories or bad ones. |
