Running It Down

by
Eli Cook

The biggest mistake is believing haiku can be written at will, on command. The haiku don't come to you, you have to go to the haiku. Once you find the place you find the haiku, the process is easy. My most frequent place to find haiku was running on my own. My biggest fear is that my best haiku never made it on paper. They are still out there, just waiting to be found.
