across the field
storm’s coming

cold gust of wind
the tornado

ap

the trailer park
is torn apart . . .
screaming

last night's fight
continues on

but the moon
rises

kk

the storm reminds me
I should probably
call Grandma

to a full answering machine

ns

my answering machine
picks up for you
I pretend I can't hear

lb

heated argument, our son
deflects your belt from me

fr

piercing sting
one of the reasons
I dislike summer

ak

aloe vera plant
cools her skin

rmb

lying in bed
she looks up at the moon
her final wish

ac

so many faces
in the clouds

rmb

through all the years
one thing
remains unchanged

ak

her eyes still as beautiful
as fifty years ago

fr

we walk on the bricks
covered with cherry blossoms
I grab your hand

lb

too short of a walk
we say our goodbyes
