Remember When

by
Kevin Miller

Remember When is the title of this collection due to my writing style. The way all the haiku were written are from my past or past thoughts. When I write haiku, I write from a past memory, and try to include the emotion or scene while trying to keep it open so others can connect to each one.

simple carpenter
shaving away
my imperfections

harvest moon
I think back when it shined
on our love

boat sways
searching the water
for the little turtle

faded handprint
on the car window
high five

night time road
one lane lit by
our happiness

hot tea
steams up the window
rain rhythmns

wind rustles the trees
I stumble upon the one
with our names

comparing people
overlooking the importance
of her self

empty campus
the heat of an empty gym
practice begins

glimmering colors
fill the room with warmth
stained-glass
