single swing
scrapes the wood chips
a squeak of chains

2

kayak floats
down the riverbank
simple peace

3

waiting by the window
for her return
the trees sway

4

during the thunderstorm
I dance alone
in the rain

5

crunching beneath
as I walk
through the wood

6

one look at the wildflowers
she forgets
her own beauty

a white carpet just for me
white clovers

in my bed
no one to bless me

snacking on a pickle
the crunches echo

guess I'll take out
my own trash

but love
some alone time

I find my own
path

17

for today
that’s just fine with me

I can make
my own rules

coffee for
one
. . . more?

my shoes
alone in the hallway

she draws
all the blinds

22

no one
but my sweet orange cat
to help me

23

left behind
once again
alone to my thoughts

24

she files
the divorce papers
before yoga class

she becomes
a bubble

in the grass
a boy and a frog
a leaping contest

34

spring breeze
my dress
brushes the back of my leg

the bride
floats down the aisle

my focus goes
out the window

she learns to love
the landing spot

blossom in the sun
I lean in for a kiss

48

he kissed me
i could float like this
forever

I stare
at the sky

50

head high
thoughts roll through
the clouds

wind in our hair
as we sing too loud

days as long
as they should be

they scoot their chairs
to follow the sun

I am not supposed
to think about you

we talk
until we run out of air

69

waking up
from a nap . . .
what year is it?

70

when did I become
the therapist?
I need to talk, too

71

waiting for the bomb
to drop
you diffuse it
