Selected Haiku

In many ways, this collection encompasses all that I am. It lacks organization, is hopelessly romantic, and lives to inspire.

These poems reflect a girl learning life lessons, studying the human condition, and searching for the trush in my heart.

the rain outside
softly slowing
my mother finishes the fairytale

i watch his face . . .
    watching
        hers

rainy Sunday
our bare feet
nestle under the wool blanket

lights dimmed low
the candle's glow
dances across his face

i watch his chest
rise and fall—
silent lullabye

lovers first Christmas
i memorize
your smile

smiling in your sleep—
i wonder
where you are

the rain slowing
my body rest
against yours
