From
the Inside, Out
Haiku
by
Krista

|
|
grandmother's
soft fingers
along my back
asleep in no time
|
|
|
his
thunder
confines me
to his black cloud
|
looking
into
Dads spectacled green eyes
I see myself
|
|
|
new
boyfriend
older brother
greets the door first
|
spring
rain gently falls
anticipation of what may come
first love blooms
|
|
|
freckle
on his lip
one crooked tooth
his smile feels perfect
|
hot
sugar milk
warming up
all of my insides
