on the picture frame
forgotten

        space between
  raindrops


holding hands
walking in the park
only memories


blinds drawn
against the world
curling up with a blankie


lifting the lid my belly
growls, until I see
the empty bottom of the cookie jar.


she pushes hard,
he escapes, cries,
her belly now empty


in your eyes
           i see myself
      just a reflection
