HAIKU
by
Andrea Roewe
Haiku
is a small collection dedicated to the favorite haiku written
by the author in the fall 2002 creative writing roundtable
at Millikin University. These haiku are about various memories
and experiences of my life.

|
cuddling
close
in front of the fire
first snowfall
|
|
|
doorbell
rings
he waits nervously
corage in hand
|
cool
breeze
sun setting in the distance
holding me close
|
|
|
sitting
by the phone
waiting
it never rings
|
it's
over.
somewhere in the distance
the fat lady sings
|
|
|
cool
breeze
the evening drizzle
patters on the porch
|
snowflakes
floating in the air
I'm weightless
|
|
|
her
irises
blossoming in the garden
a utopian dream
