The Strongest Remain
Selected Haiku

by
Anthony Holeyfield

I picked these haiku for my collection because they were the most meaningful and significant to me. If my haiku are to be a representation of me, then I would love to have the haiku in my collection represent me. I truly believe that these haiku are the best that I made all semester.

Red and Blue bandanas
just colors or
so much more

imagining it without the crack
almost impossible
...the ringing

all these years
holding a metal torch
...she's still beautiful

the guy on the penny
towers over me
sitting in his chair

falling at a slow pace
then coming all at once
snow

lost in my own mind,
making peace
with myself
