sunset on the hill—
pine needles like snow
in my hair

the old helicopter landing
               a shooting star
         silence

ashen cheeks—
willow tree bends
over her head

  

 

in the garden
a monarch
on the sleeping girl’s hand

hunter’s moon—
french kiss
in the wooden rowboat

  

 

old man
in the hospital bed—
violin at his feet
