Haiku

by
Jane Daniels

It is thrilling to have a friend, classmate or professor interact with a haiku that I have written. Writing haiku requires that I am quiet and willing to express my experience in that moment.

This course helped me to slow down and enjoy the moments that I would have otherwise been missed. I was challenged to be still and try to capture these moments in haiku. I believe that this class was a wonderful experience and I am grateful for the kind and attentive way the writing of haiku brought us all closer together. I found kukai and matching contest enlivened us all into so many wonderful discussions.

Thank you Dr. Randy Brooks for sharing your Zen Art.
